hmm....

perhaps that's like coming home when it's freezing outside and meeting your cute, little cat, whereas no need for feeling bad because of not feeding her...

speaking of Europe...

"There is a beautiful deserted island in the middle of nowhere where the following people are stranded :
- 2 Italian men and 1 Italian woman
- 2 French men and 1 French woman
- 2 German men and 1 German woman
- 2 Greek men and 1 Greek woman
- 2 English men and 1 English woman
- 2 Bulgarian men and 1 Bulgarian woman
- 2 Swedish and 1 Swedish woman
- 2 Irish men and 1 Irish woman
- 2 Russian men and 1 Russian woman

One month later on this beautiful deserted island in the middle of nowhere ....
The 1st Italian man killed the other for the Italian woman.
The 2 French men and the French woman are living happily together in a 'menage a trois'...
The 2 German men have a strict weekly schedule of when they alternate with the German woman.
The 2 Greek men are sleeping with each other and the Greek woman is cleaning and cooking for them.
The 2 English men are waiting for someone to introduce them to the English woman. The Bulgarian men took one look at the endless ocean, one look at the Bulgarian woman and started swimming.
The 2 Swedish men are contemplating the virtues of suicide while the woman keeps on bitching about her body being her own and the true nature of feminism. But at least it's not snowing and the taxes are low.
The Irish began by dividing their island Northside-Southside and set up a distillery. They don't remember if sex is in the picture because it gets sort of foggy after the first few litres of coconut-whiskey, but at least they know the English aren't getting any ...

The first Russian man married the Russian woman and divorced her. He is the best customer of the Irish distillery. The other Russian man made money by actually killing the Italian and by arranging exit visas for the Bulgarians; with that he acquired a controlling 33.4 % share in the Irish distillery including the world-wide distribution rights to the English and he hired the Greeks as sales agents. He employs both Germans as bodyguards (hence the strict schedule) both for himself and for his Russian girlfriend, and has promised the Bulgarian woman that she can become the maid of their first child. He regularly sees the Swedish woman 'to learn English'.

In the meantime the French still think they are alone on the island....."

Utrecht in wet and mild winter. Ancient stones on the floor touching the wheel of your bike and you must wonder how many peoples lives have experienced incidents that changed everything on this stone...or that or this... in another time and nobody cares!

mantra of today...

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...
If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile...

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

running elephants...

...my medidative center on the wall, elephants go up and down and up and down...
it's hard to concentrate when the world around is waking up again after winter and the plants are growing... notice: European union law is like an old, widely ramified tree that does even not become clear when going deeper into detail... we'll see... energy has to do something with effectiveness and speed, where the question arises whether effectiveness is concerned with intelligence... obviously it is. Damn.

Cheering girl on a 'keermispaard' is destined to make watching people jealous about her ease and happiness. Supposed to be positive inspration, stated by the fun-and-relax-society, but, hey?!?
Are challenges only to make dissapointed?

Despite of all the rain, lumber is always present in Utrecht... and so an old evidence of former happyness and extravagance just stays to remain to the momentariness of live... how tragic. Meanwhile I see a vision of this boat, gloriously decorated, candles, trance music and me looking beautifully with a glass of white russian...

aboriginal arts museum

Selection of a wonderful ruminant pictures from an aboriginal artist. They are non-individualists and want to mediate a non-western view of the world or our personal dreamland. And they paint for money what is posted at the beginning of the exibition. Makes them very simpatico. Artists as egoistic capitalists. Damn, again western reflections about art that is rooted in another way if thinking....
